2010年前後、ネオクラストシーンにおいて当時シーンを牽引していたと言って過言ではないAlpinistと同レベルのバンドが遂に登場したと思ったのがこのフランスのGeranium。そんな彼らの新作レコードが到着。サウンドはデビュー当初からカッコよかったけれど活動10年目を迎えて今尚更新され続けているのが素晴らしいし、もはやネオクラスト文脈だけでは説明のつかない領域に達している。作品テーマもより深く、そして現在世界で進行している問題と対峙する問題提起がなされているし、ポリコレ過剰になっている流れに対しても彼らなりに別の答えを見出そうとしているようにも見える。 MZTN
